Certain types of auto parts can be recycled or, more specifically, remanufactured for future sale. These parts have a core price that is used as a form of deposit on the portion of the part that can be remanufactured and that is designed to encourage return of the old part. The "core," simply put, is your old part. Returning cores can save you money on replacement parts.
When purchasing a CSC Factory replacement seat, our core fees are built into our seat prices.
Upon receiving your new seat, reach out to us via email, website form, or telephone and inform us of your interest to send your seat to us for a CORE refund.
Shipping is on us.
We will email you one (1) pre-paid shipping label. Package your seat up in the box that you received your new seat in. Send us your seat.
Once we receive your potential CORE seat, CSC will inspect your seat and respond with a decision of acceptance within 5 business days of us receiving your seat.
All seats received for CORE eligibility are subject to our 8 point inspection.
If your seat passes our multi point inspection, CSC will provide a credit of:
-Street Glide® : $140.00 to your original payment source.
-Ultra Set: $350.00 to your original payment source.
In the case that your seat does not meet our CORE inspection standards, we apologize, but we will not be able to re-use your seat; thus a CORE refund will not be issued. Seats that do not pass the inspection criteria will be returned to the purchaser at the purchaser's expense.
CSC currently only accepts the following styles of seats: OEM 2 up style Street Glide®, Road Glide®, Road King®, as well as Ultra, and Ultra Ltd. with OEM King Pack.
Harley-Davidson® Accepted Parts Numbers:
Seats MUST have the original Harley-Davidson® manufacturer sticker indicating production date and part number. CSC only accepts seats stamped from 2018 and newer.
All seats received for CORE eligibility must have their original seat cover in place and un-modified. The seat cover must be tight, with no signs of wrinkles or wear.
CSC will inspect the underside of all received for CORE eligibility.
All seats pans must be in good condition, un- modified, with no signs of wear or damage.
There must be no rust on the original staples.
All seats received will be inspected for foam that is free of deterioration, mold and mildew, as well as any other foam damage and/or any foam modification.
Original vapor barriers must be in place.
The original rear metal tang must be un-modified and securely in place.
